There are moisture in the air, so the special pharmaceutical tablet should be packaged by the special bottle which has desiccant inside of bottle.

The desiccant also is called adsorbent,is generally used for moistureproof, mould proof, play a drying role.The common desiccants are silica gel and molecular sieves.The desiccant is a solid which can absorb moisture from air,its drying theory is that the desiccant can absorb the moisture by physical way or chemical way.

Two kinds of desiccant which is generally use in effervescent tablet tube

First, silica gel,Silica gel is an amorphous and porous form of silicon dioxide,Used in moderate to high humidity and/or moderate temperature (less than 125°F / 52°C) environments.

Second, molecular sieves,molecular sieve is a material with pores (very small holes) of uniform size.Used to create very dry environments or in high temperature (up to 400°F / 204°C) applications.
