Child-proof caps, also known as child-resistant closures (CRC), are designed to be difficult for children to open but still accessible for adults. The method to open them depends on the design. Here are the most common types and how to open them:

1. Push Down & Turn (Most Common)
How to open:
Place the cap firmly in your palm.
Push down while turning counterclockwise.
Keep applying downward pressure while twisting until it opens.
Common on: Medicine bottles, household chemicals, and some cannabis packaging.
2. Squeeze & Turn
How to open:
Find the marked areas on the sides of the cap.
Squeeze both sides while turning counterclockwise.
Continue squeezing while twisting until it opens.
Common on: Prescription bottles and some cleaning products.
3. Pull Up & Turn
How to open:
Grip the cap and pull it upward slightly.
While pulling, turn counterclockwise.
Continue pulling and twisting until the cap comes off.
Common on: Some industrial containers and specialty bottles.
4. Align Arrows & Lift
How to open:
Look for arrows or markings on the cap and bottle.
Align them properly.
Lift or twist the cap as indicated.
Common on: Certain cannabis or e-liquid packaging.

If You're Struggling to Open It:
Use a rubber grip or a cloth to get a better hold.
Tap the cap lightly on a hard surface to loosen it.
If you have weak hands, use a jar opener or ask for help.
