The full name COP is a cyclo olefin polymer, which for medical optical components and high-end pharmaceutical packaging materials, its raw material features: high transparency, low birefringence, low water absorption, high rigidity, high heat resistance, water vapor tightness, and conformity FDA standard.

(1) The density is small, about 10% lower than PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) and PC (polycarbonate), which is beneficial to the weight reduction of the product;

(2) The saturated water absorption rate is small, the COC water absorption rate is much lower than that of PMMA, and there is no influence of the decrease in physical properties due to water absorption, and almost no water absorption;

(3) Due to the inclusion of monomers having low polarity and anisotropy, it is an amorphous transparent material with a small birefringence;

(4) The high heat-resistant transparent resin has a glass transition temperature of 140 to 170 ° C, and the glass transition temperature is an index of heat resistance of the amorphous polymer;

(5) Easy to injection molding;

(6) Excellent mechanical properties, tensile strength and modulus of elasticity higher than PC;

(7) Excellent copyability, so the quality of the product is high;

(8) Low dielectric constant, especially high frequency performance, is the best dielectric material for thermoplastics;

(9) Good scratch resistance, COC pencil hardness is similar to PMMA, and scratch resistance is an important performance index of optical materials;

(10) The side chain of COC molecule has polar groups, which have good adhesion to inorganic and organic materials and are easy to seal;

(11) COP green plastic, the content of impurities is very small, so there is no need to worry about the analysis of debris, suitable for semiconductor and medical device requirements;

(12) COP is excellent in chemical resistance, acid resistance and alkali resistance;

(13) COP is almost impervious to water vapor and meets the requirements for applications requiring simultaneous moisture protection.
